Check out this GORGEOUS boy! Whilst we have Tiger listed as an Anatolian Shep/ Greyhound mix we are guessing and if you have another breed suggestion we would love to hear it. Deerhound has also been offered?! Whatever mix he is Tiger loves to be around people especially kids. He is playful with other dogs, good with cats and kittens and horses. Will chase chickens so really needs to be kept apart from them. Tiger l ikes to swim though he hasn't figured out toys yet he will chew on bones/chew toys. Tiger has been with his Louisiana foster mom since January and is scheduled to arrive in Seattle the first weekend in December. We would love to minimize his transitions by bringing him directly to his new family because he was found as a stray/drop off and in the beginning wouldn't even come inside. He would not let anyone near him with a collar or leash and was terrified of getting in a vehicle. Since then he has made impressive improvements- He is now house trained but does best if left in the bathroom when folks are out. If left out in the house he gets bored and will chew things. He thinks he needs to be touching his person at all times- shhh don't tell him how much he weighs he thinks he is a 10lb lap dog! Whilst he does great in the car he can sometimes still be difficult to load. Generally if his foster mom puts one paw up he gets on in easily. He loves kids and has been living with 1, 7, and 12 year olds. The kids take him on walks with no problems. He knows sit, but that is currently his only learned command. The perfect person for Tiger would be home most days with him. He thrives with human contact and being smart and willing to learn needs someone who can take the time to provide further training. He does not have a high energy level but does enjoy playing with other dogs and swimming. We think he would love hiking too. He is a big cuddly bear of a dog who deserves a family of his very own to share that love with. Might that be you? If so please read on for how to apply! As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters. Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can. It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
