Swan is a very sweet girl who will chill but also likes to run and play. She loves to lay her head in your lap and to be petted. In fact, she would love to be in your lap if you would let her as she has no idea of her size!  Swan started out with a very hard life, abandoned and nearly starved she was not far from death. Swan would not trust any humans and it took over a week to catch her with a live trap. Swan has, for the most part, lost her fear of humans but is very cautious upon meeting new people. However, as soon as she realizes they are not going to harm her she is loving and devoted.  

She is good with other dogs, but prefers a home without cats please. She likes kids and house trained and crate trained already. We recommend a training class for all our incoming dogs as we believe it's a great bonding experience and can avoid issues later on in life. As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
