Loki is a sweet fully grown dude who is looking for his forever home. He is a funny little guy weighing in at 31lbs who loves to play with other dogs and snuggle with his people. He will ask for loving by just coming and sitting close by until you notice him and is not pushy at all. He adored the kids in his foster home and is mellow but enjoys walking with his humans, exploring and playing with doggie friends. He hasn't been around cats so we're not sure how he would do with them in his new home. 

When people ask what his breed mix is we often answer part Catahoula, Part Hyena due to his slightly wiry ruff around his neck. He also has a unique half tail that adds to his character.  Loki came from a high kill shelter in Louisiana and is looking forward to settling with his new family asap. Loki has been having a little issue with marking in his temporary home which we believe can be dealt with using a belly band and some training. He never did this in his foster homes and we are sure it is due to nerves and needing to settle down and feel confident in his new surroundings. As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
