Sweet Edith looks older than her 5yr estimated age due to a pretty rough start in life. We can only guess at where she has been but we do know she has worn down all her front teeth - an all too common sign that she was scraping up road kill to eek out an  existence  alone and abandoned :( Despite this she is a very sweet girl who is super grateful for any love shown to her. All she wants is a warm couch, arms to hug her and a house to lay around in whilst you're not home. Every now and then she remembers how young she is and with a burst of energy will run full speed through the house! She gets along with her fosters small dog and cat. We're sure in time she will love hiking and the outdoors with her people once she learns she won't be left again.

When she is happy her whole body wiggles and she shows just how cute she can be. Like most strays who h ave  been starving for so long she loves to eat and thinks she can eat everyone's food so will need some training on what's hers and what isn't lol She is a sweet soul who needs to learn just how kind folks can be and will make a great dog for someone willing to put in the love.

Edith is crate and potty trained and is waiting to get the all clear from her Louisiana vet before she can travel north to Seattle this summer. In the meantime we hope to find her forever family and have them ready and waiting to welcome her when she arrives! Could that be you? Are you willing to train this sweet girl and show her just how wonderful life can be? If so read on for how to apply!

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $ which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
