Mikey is actively seeking a new family having been surrendered to rescue when his beloved 85yr old mom could no longer take care of him. 

Mikey LOVES snuggling under the covers and keeping your toes (or neck) warm at night, is a fan of long walks along the beach but is selective about other dogs he might meet. He’s a fairly mellow little chap for being a terrier and isn’t a yappy hyperactive pup at all. His fav place, besides tucked into bed alongside you is curled up in a lap watching tv or following you around the house! He knows his basic commands, is potty trained and good on a leash. He likes cats too much so a cat free home is required. 

He hasn't spent time around children but with his sweet demeaner we believe he would do well with respectful children.   His dream home might be with a retired couple who like company whilst gardening or hanging out at home. 

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $250 which includes all vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
