Cayenne is a tiny wee terrier (your guess is as good as ours on breed really!) mix but don't let his small stature fool you, weighing in at a mere 2.4lbs at last vet visit Feb 1st. He is a playful little guy with a big personality and loves to be around his people or wrestling with his siblings. We believe him to be around 10 weeks old and he will sleep through the night in his crate without any accidents.

He is the sweetest little cuddler   who likes to climb up to your neck so he can see what's going on. He prefers to be held and snuggled close and stays cold so isn't yet a fan of the outside very much.  He likes to play with small toys and often stole the baby's teethers in his last foster home. If it's below 70 he shivers so will need a little sweater and a warm lap to keep him happy!  He is a puppy so will nibble on toes or socks and like all puppies will need redirection  to correct this behavior .

He loves kids and adults and is a fun loving little guy who charms everyone he meets with kisses on your nose! Due to his extra small stature we are looking for a fairly calm household for him so that he doesn't get hurt or overwhelmed. He is also currently seeing the vet for a small hernia under Aarf care.

As with all puppies Aarf requires sign up for training class on adoption and proof of completion sent our way. Cayenne is a teeny tiny young man so won't be able to be left alone for long periods just yet and may be too vocal for an apartment if you plan to leave him home alone. 

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter at one of our approved vets in the area) and microchipping.
