Poor Queenie's owner passed away and his wife no longer wanted her :( She was abandoned at a high kill shelter in Louisiana thrown out from the only home she had ever known. This sweet well behaved girl needs a home with other dogs her size and humans willing to work off the weight she has gained missing her Dad. She is a very loving girl in the prime of her life who has many more years to live and she deserves a family of her own to snuggle and play with. Are you willing to help walk off the pounds with her? Queenie would do best with medium/ large companions- no smaller dogs or cats please. Due to her size younger children would probably be best avoided also.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $250 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
