Shepherd / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Medium Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.
Mack is a young energetic german shepherd mix with tons of love to share. He is totally crate trained and won’t potty in his kennel even when left for long periods. He handles well on a leash and does exceptionally well on car rides. He hasn't quite figured out how to get in vehicles but once he is in the truck he's fine. He is mostly potty trained but will need to perfect this skill in a new environment. He is a friendly pup who plays well with other dogs. He is working on learning to sit and doing great so far! His foster Dad taught him to stay off the and to lay down while folks are eating. He’s a quick learner and very eager to please- tons of potential for further training! He is super responsive to correction, If u snap ur fingers and tell him no he understands and will stop whatever he's NOT supposed to be doing. He does not like cats. He will chase them. He LOVES hugs and affection. He is easy to bathe but sheds a fair amount as you would expect a shepherd mix to. He's good with sharing food and water with other large dogsand has been fostered alongside a Rottweiler mix, a Pitbull and a chocolate lab and he loves to play with them. He is still a puppy and pretty rambunctious in his playing so will need to be watched around smaller dogs- he would never intentionally hurt one but could be a bit overwhelming for a smaller friend. He is still very much a puppy who hasn’t been taught all his manners and is still an avid chewer so will need plenty of chew toys and supervision! Mack is a loving dog who hasn’t been around children much but we believe will do great with them though he will need to learn the meaning of personal space. If Mack sounds like he might be the perfect pup for you please read on for info on how to apply: As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters. Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can. It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
