Alex is a sweet handsome young man who will make a great family dog. He loves playing with other dogs and kids, and as you can see from his photos loves to snuggle! He is currently looking for a family to hike and explore with on the weekends, with plenty of love and cuddles to share.

Alex is learning to walk nicely on a leash and loves romping and playing in the back yard. He already knows how to sit and is not food aggressive at all. He has a very mellow demeanor and movie star good looks! He is great about not jumping up on people, weighs in at about 45 pounds and we don't expect him to get much bigger. He is a very sweet boy who enjoys both playing and cuddling and is fast becoming a favorite with his foster mom.

He is really great with other dogs his size and bigger, is submissive in play, isn't much of a fan of cats but is kennel trained and about 95% potty trained too. He still needs reminding sometimes as, like any youngster, he can get pretty focused  on playing and forget :) 

As he is still a puppy he will need to attend a training class with his new family which will give you some great bonding time with him. He will need time and patience and tons of love! Do you think you have that to give? If so please read on for info on how to apply!

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
