Towson is a super sweet, amazingly calm,  kid loving puppy who is only 8 months old. His personality really shines when there are kids or other dogs around and his ideal home would have both! We would love to see him homed with children (he is smitten with the 6 and 9yr olds in his foster family). No cats as he's determined to chase and play.

Towson's actual history is unknown but he is very timid around men. He warms up fairly quickly but will take a patient understanding family who will let him come around in his own time. If anyone tries to persuade him to do something he will pee in fear and flinches if sudden movements are made near him. He HATES the fly swatter in the same room as him and we are fairly certain was mistreated previously. He is a very well behaved puppy and acts a lot older than his 8 months. He learned to sit in 24hrs and is full of fun playing with his foster siblings. 

He is a loving, amazing dog and his foster family adore him- if they didn't already have two dogs he might just have stayed with them he's so special. He's often found following the mom around, wrestling with the dogs or cuddled up with the kids enjoying their company. He is crate trained and though he doesn't always want to go in his crate if offered a bone to chew happily wanders in. He sleeps in there overnight too and never makes a fuss. He loves toys and chewing on bones. If he grabs a kid toy by mistake and simple, no and he will drop it right away. Super obedient and ridiculously cute! 

He is still a puppy and as such will need to attend training class with his new family. Might that be you? Do you have the time and patience to spend with Towson? He deserves a loving friendly family to be his forever home! 

As he is still a puppy he cannot be left alone for long periods of time, will need a safe puppy proofed environment and someone with lots of patience! If that could be you, We do require a home and reference checks before adoption and with our puppies the adoption contract states that a training class is also mandatory.  As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  You are welcome to fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org; please fill this in as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
